What We Believe

The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the word of God, the final authority for all faith and practice, verbally inspired and without error in the original writings. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21
God
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe that He is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; that He became man to die for the sins of the whole world; that His death on the cross was substitutionary and voluntary; that He was raised from the dead and ascended back to heaven and that He is coming again.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and of judgement, and that He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing those who believe into the Body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption.

Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, and that through Adam's sin, inherited a" sinful nature and became alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and utterly unable to remedy his lost condition in and of himself. Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:22, 23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3:12
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace. It is received by personal faith in the substitutionary death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. No resolutions, works, efforts, or submission to rules or regulations of any kind can supplement the redemptive work of Christ. It is only the merit of His finished work that provides our justification. The moment we put our total trust in the resurrected Jesus Christand His finished work on Calvary, we receive Him as our Savior and are "born again" by the Holy Spirit. Eternal Security
We believe that born again persons are unable to lose their salvation since they are kept by God's power and therefore secure in Christ forever. John 6:27-30, 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38, 39; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Peter 1:5
